Sacred Valley: Full-Day Tour with Buffet Lunch & Hotel Pickup

Sacred Valley Tour: History, Culture, and Andean Landscapes

We begin the tour with hotel pickup between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Once the group is complete, we will head north to explore the fascinating Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Our first stop is Chinchero, a charming town where we will visit impressive agricultural terraces and the remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui. We will also admire its beautiful colonial temple, built on Inca foundations, and witness the traditional Andean weaving process, from washing and spinning the wool to creating colorful textiles.

Next, we will visit Moray, an astonishing archaeological site featuring circular terraces that the Incas used as an agricultural laboratory to experiment with different microclimates.

We will then continue to the Maras Salt Mines, a breathtaking complex of over 3,000 salt pools that have been used since Inca times. Here, we will observe the natural salt extraction process and enjoy stunning panoramic views.

Our journey continues to the Fortress of Ollantaytambo, an impressive military structure built to guard the Sacred Valley from potential invasions. Its massive terraces and stone temples showcase the grandeur of Inca engineering.

After this visit, we will stop in the town of Urubamba to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring a variety of traditional Peruvian dishes.

In the afternoon, we will head to Pisac, where we will explore its archaeological complex located atop a mountain. This site offers breathtaking views of the valley and demonstrates the Incas' ability to build in steep landscapes.

We will conclude the tour with a return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.
